How the new laws
are affecting buyers

Real estate agents will be required, by law, to have a buyer broker agreement signed with whoever they are showing a home to. This contract will have an agreed upon commission fee that will be paid by the buyer if the seller is not paying for it.

There will be homes where the home seller will cover you buyer agents commission but if he is paying less than what you agreed upon or nothing at all, you will be obligated to pay what you’ve agreed with your realtor, which is typically 3%.
